Care Ministry

Care Ministries at Our Father Lutheran Church

The people at Our Father care for one another. If you’re interested in receiving care or serving in one of these areas, please contact Pastor Nate Peregoy at 303.779.1332.

Grief Share
GriefShare, a special help seminar and support group for people experiencing grief and loss, will be held on Monday evenings at 6:30pm at OFLC beginning February 17 thru May 11, 2020. GriefShare features nationally recognized experts on grief recovery topics and seminar sessions include “Is This Normal?”, “The Challenges of Grief,” “Grief and Your Relationships,” “Why?”, and “Guilt and Anger.” Each seminar is independent of the others so you may choose to attend at any time. For more information, contact Rich Carnahan at 303-902-0896 or click here.

Prayer Chain
If you have a concern for which you would like prayer, all 200 members of our prayer chain would like to pray for you. Prayers received by mid-day will be sent out in the afternoon or evening. If you have a prayer request, or if you would like to be added to the prayer chain and receive a brief, daily email, contact the church office at 303-779-1332 or write to prayerchain@ourfatherlutheran.net.

Need-Based Care
Are you struggling with any of life’s countless challenges? Everyone goes through tough situations – there is no need to make this journey alone. Could you benefit from meeting with a caring person from Our Father who would be there for you during this time? Consider allowing a Need-Based Caregiver to come alongside as you work through a crisis or difficult time. Download our brochure to learn more.

Hospital Visitation Team
Our Hospital Visitation Team connects with people at Our Father during times of illness and recovery. Members receive encouragement through thoughtful conversation, reading Scripture, and praying together. If you are anticipating a medical event or would like support during recuperation, our team would love to visit and care for you. Call Heidi Herrmann at the church office at 303.779.1332 and we’ll follow up with you.

Homebound Care Team
For those who have transitioned to a new living situation without transportation to worship, this team visits with homebound members of our church family. They work alongside our pastors, who bring Holy Communion on a regular basis. Members of the Homebound Care Team are assigned a homebound member to provide care and be a friend. Please contact Heidi Herrmann at the church office at 303.779.1332.
