Become a Member
Interested in joining our family at Our Father Lutheran Church? Our New Member Program is held twice a year in the fall and in the spring on Sunday mornings during the Adult Education hour. A four-week class on Lutheran teachings is offered for those with no Lutheran background or those desiring a refresher course. This class is intended to assist participants in making a decision regarding membership. Following this class is a four-week orientation program designed to integrate new members into life at Our Father.
Introduction to Lutheranism – Led by Pastors Abel and Peregoy
A four-session class is offered on Sunday mornings during the Adult Education hour from 9:30 – 10:30 am. This class is for new members, prospective members, or anyone who wants to participate. These Sunday sessions are designed to explore the basics of the Christian faith through Lutheran eyes, and can lead to membership at Our Father if you so choose. We would love to have you come and be a part of this journey! Childcare is available in the nursery, as well as Children’s Sunday School. Check back here in the fall for our next session.
New Member Orientation – This four-session class will follow right after the Introduction to Lutheranism class. These classes will also take place on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am. New Member Orientation will provide you with wonderful opportunities for hearing about the vision and mission of Our Father, connecting with others and growing in the faith as you become a part of our family.
New Member Sunday – Fall 2019
For everyone who attended the above classes with the desire to become members of Our Father, we complete the membership process with a formal “Welcome!” into membership during the Sunday morning worship services. This allows for current members to have the opportunity to see and greet our newest members, to get acquainted and to make connections.To see more information on the adult Sunday education classes, please click here.
